What do you get when you create a zombie comedy film in 1999, heavily influenced by Tarantino, to push the career of a hard rock band ... in Japan. You get Wild Zero!!
Exploding blue zombie heads and rock music and crazy daisy duke wearing creepy villians hellbent on stopping a magical hard rock/punk group named Guitar Wolf! Also ten other plots that make no sense mixed in with a positive transgender message ... and Aliens!! ... ??

We enjoyed ourselves with this one. Join us for this weeks webipod as we watch Wild Zero!! ... and make fun of Donald Trump a lil bit.

Well I feel like we've come as close to double feature bliss as we're ever going to achieve on this podcast. Not to say both of these films were good ... far from it. One however was awesome!

I give you Swamp Thing and The Return of Swamp Thing ... in what we're calling ... Swamp Thing Double Feature!!

This episode is more exciting than my description of it I promise. Join us as we discuss the many facets of Swamp Thing including the comics by cranky genius Alan Moore and various other source materials. Also James is here ... and we sing .......... please listen.

SWAMP THING DOUBLE FEATURE!

... also I'd like to apologize for the audio quality of this pod ... we were having unforeseen audio board issues that'll be cleared up for the next episode. I promise ...

Let me tell you Search for Schlock listeners this weeks webipod was a breeze. (Never mind the late posting ... all will be addressed in episode)
After having to sit through last weeks horror (I don't even want to talk about it scroll down if you didn't listen to that one) it was a pure joy watching Seven Men from Now. A decidedly "better than average western" ... which is high praise coming from the likes of Andrew. Randolph Scott and Lee Marvin give us a delightful tale of good old fashion revenge in this some what cookie cutter yet charming film. Also witty banter and an attempt to talk about topical current events ... enjoy!

Theodore Rex (1995)

This may be the worst thing we have ever had to watch ... period.

Now I know I've said that before but hear me out. Whoopi Goldberg in a futuristic buddy cop comedy/action film with a six foot walking, talking, rubber dinosaur ... *drops mic*

Seriously though I'm not sure what else to say. Theodore Rex is a horrendously bad film and we'll discuss why it was even made long before we watch it and weep ... weep openly like children who wonder why god hates them. Although in my case the word watch is loosely translated into trying not to fall asleep between bouts of anger.

Anyway James went to Japan!! Hear all about it on this weeks webipod ... to Andrews chagrin.

Once upon a time a young Mark sat transfixed in front of his television watching a film that would change his life. A film that spoke to his inner needs. His inner obsessive role play game loving nerdy needs. Finally a film that took the character archetypes and settings of Dungeons & Dragons seriously. A film he could watch with his fellow LARP weirdo friends and breath a collective sigh of relief. Hollywood was finally speaking to them.

Ok so it's likely none of that actually happened but its a nice story. Otherwise I'm left with the thought that Mark had vague memories of a bad sword and sorcery type film with a then washed up Jack Palance. Then forced said film on us for pure malicious joy. And I for one refuse to believe he would do such a thing!

I give you this weeks webipod ... Hawk the Slayer ... not Ladyhawke ... *SCREECH*
